Day trip to Essaouira from Marrakech
Before arriving in Essaouira, you will experience exceptional moments on the road, such as observing the goats that know how to climb and descend the argan tree and the optional visit to the Berber women’s argan oil cooperative.
Arrival in Essaouira, walking tour of the history of the old port of Essaouira: a mixture of Portuguese, African and Arab influences. Stroll along the port and admire the Skala fortress with its wave-beaten ramparts and cannons.
Visit the medina and the municipal market, and explore the jewelers’ quarter and a craft complex of Essaouira’s artistic heritage. You will have free time for lunch and to wander around Essaouira. Feel free to explore the city and buy some souvenirs, such as the wooden pieces made only in Essaouira. At the end of the day, return to Marrakech and back to your accommodation.
