Day 1: Welcome to the Red City
• Arrival: Transfer from Marrakech Menara Airport to your Riad.
• Activity: Spend the evening at Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square. Watch the snake charmers, storytellers, and enjoy dinner at a rooftop terrace overlooking the bustling food stalls.
• Overnight: Marrakech.
Day 2: Crossing the High Atlas
• Morning: Depart Marrakech and climb the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m). The views of Berber villages are stunning.
• Afternoon: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou, a famous filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
• Evening: Continue to Ouarzazate (the "Hollywood of Africa") to see the Kasbah Taourirt.
• Overnight: Ouarzazate.
Day 3: Gorges and Valleys
• Morning: Drive through the Valley of Roses, famous for its Damascus roses and rose-water production.
• Afternoon: Explore the Dades Valley and its "monkeys’ fingers" rock formations.
• Evening: Walk through the massive limestone walls of the Todra Gorge, some reaching 300 meters high.
• Overnight: Dades or Tinghir.
Day 4: Into the Sahara (Merzouga)
• Morning: Journey toward the desert, passing through Erfoud (the fossil capital of Morocco).
• Afternoon: Arrive in Merzouga. Swap your car for a camel and trek into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun sets.
• Evening: Traditional Berber dinner, campfire music, and sleeping in a luxury desert camp under the stars.
• Overnight: Sahara Desert Camp.
Day 5: Desert Exploration & Nomadic Culture
• Morning: Wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes.
• Activity: Explore the desert region in a 4x4. Visit the Khamlia village to hear soulful Gnawa music and meet local nomadic families to learn about their lifestyle.
• Afternoon: Relax at a desert hotel pool or try sandboarding.
• Overnight: Merzouga (Hotel/Kasbah at the edge of the dunes).
Day 6: The Lush Draa Valley
• Morning: Head back west through the Alnif and Tazzarine regions.
• Afternoon: Drive through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley, lined with millions of date palms and ancient mud-brick kasbahs.
• Evening: Stop in the quiet town of Agdz.
• Overnight: Agdz or Tamnougalt.
Day 7: The Journey Back to Marrakech
• Morning: Cross the Anti-Atlas mountains back toward Ouarzazate.
• Afternoon: Final drive over the High Atlas, stopping for mint tea at scenic viewpoints.
• Evening: Arrive in Marrakech. Enjoy a farewell dinner in the Medina.
• Overnight: Marrakech.
Day 8: Departure
• Activity: Last-minute souvenir shopping in the souks (spices, lanterns, leather).
• End: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
